So Saw scripts stopped, signaling Saw stalkers' sad sobs so staggeringly strident that cinema silver screens shook. Now seeing Saw will summon sweet scenes of erstwhile significance.

If you actually pay attention to the films and watch them, rather than taking them as just a casual Halloween holiday scarefest like the Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, etc. movies were, then you start to notice things to question.
At least somebody in this thread is being optimistic and not a total douche. Kevin Greutert did an amazing job on SAW VI, I'm excited to see what he brings to the table this year. I wasn't a fan of Hackl's work, I'm glad he wasn't kept as this year's director.

I'm not implying that you're a douche for stating your opinion, so if you're going to comment about my opinion about your opinion, at least properly analyze it. I'm stating that I asked politely for no negative comments, and then 99% of this thread is nothing but SAW bashing. Ever heard of the old saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"?
Besides, Friday The 13th, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, all of these movies spawned over at least 9, in some instances 12 or 13, sequels, and nobody remembers these movies as "Shitty gore movies", and nobody complains about the sequels. Hell, there are even shitty horror movies like The Hitcher(Original) which spawned ridiculous sequels that nobody complained over. I think the only reason that anybody bashes and hates on the numerous SAW sequels is because the story is actually complex, in-depth, and builds on it's cast rather than just showing you a guy and then killing him off about 5 seconds later, so a lot of the people who watch the movie don't understand it.

Nobody has forgotten the classics like Freddy, Jason, etc. and the mass amounts of sequels that followed them, or at least not the true horror genre fans. SAW is already on it's path to being a classic like the other films were, it's just not quite there yet. It's already broken world records, and people already look at Jigsaw as a horror icon. They based Halloween Horror Nights 2009 on Jigsaw. I think people hate SAW because of the level of complexity and the inventiveness and originality of it. It's not just some psycho in a mask tearing up bodies and killing people, the man has justification behind his situations, which aren't even always considered murder, and there is backstory and substantial character development and such in the films. People just can't accept things like this anymore. They want the same old boring stuff in their movies, which is also exactly why people dislike M. Night Shyamalan's films.

I've seen them all, and watched them spiral downhill...but there was nothing negative about my question. I simply asked what questions were left un-answered thinking you'd maybe answer my question instead of whining. I thought the first 2 were good btw.

A kid reading secret messages off cereal boxes is the kind of thing people hate about M. Knights movies now. And Saw started off as basically putting people in intense and threatening situations to make them appreciate what they had and want to live and do better. I liked the movies back then. But, for example, in Saw 6. How many people on the carousel were sentenced to death? It wasn't a game, they were murdered.

Well I apologize then. There are Many questions left unanswered, for example, did Dr. Gordon survive? What happened to Daniel? Did Addison survive? What was Jigsaw's first ever trap? There are hundreds of questions if you watch the movie and fully pay attention. I have to reply to your other post seperately. I'm replying on a iPhone.
