Peepers are fully grown frogs. The noise is their "wanting to get it on" call...I just found that out from a relative. Learn something new ever day...

I made a thread about all that racket being made in my pond! Apparently..... I was informed then what was going on. Noisy ass sex-mongers!

BTW.... Things have finally quieted down since about a couple of weeks or so ago. You should see all the little tadpoles!

They are staying in the shallow ends of the pond in the weeds to keep from being eaten by the fish and snakes. Yes.... Snakes!!!!!

I love the sound of Peepers. I go rock hiking pretty often, and you can always hear them in the small ponds in the woods.
