TBH, I have no interest in Gone w/ the Wind or LOTR. I may one day force myself to watch Gone w/ the Wind (yanno, when I've been living in Massachusetts for too long and notice that my accent is fading or something, LMFAO) but I'll never watch LOTR, I'm pretty sure of that. I'm VERY selective about my movies and I want to watch Schindler's List, but I know I need to have like 3 or 4 hours to dedicate to it. And I'll be watching The Shawshank Redemption this weekend, more than likely.

Yeah, sounds like you more for movies about reality rather than fantasy. My wife is the same way. She has never seen any of the Star Wars, any of the Lord of The Rings and has NO interest to watch any of them.

Shawshank and Schindler's list are both AWESOME movies! Schindler's list is EXTREMELY heavy and will rip your heart out so be prepared ...

Oh geez...I am SUCH a crier, too, when it comes to movies. I'll cry myself into a headache watching things like Ladder 49 and Rent. I looooooooooooove American History X, it's one of my favorites, but I've only watched it twice b/c it's SUCH a powerful movie that it mentally exhausts me to watch it.

Some people only like shows with easy to follow plots

Yeah, American History X is definitely a good one and very powerful as well. I started really liking Edward Norton thanks to this film. He did an excellent job at portraying a VERY hardcore racist that becomes redeemed ...

As for "tear jerkers" ... The Green Mile always gets to me ...

Never seen and don't want to:

    Titanic

I also don't like any show with Jim Carey in it EXCEPT Liar Liar, that's the one and only exception, otherwise I will not watch a show with him in it.....he's tooo silly for me.

A lot of the shows you all have mentioned tho I have watched and liked very much.

Although I am not big on Rom Com pics.......
