    Default Hey folks

Greetings from Northwest Territories from Anie...

Anyway, just thought of this place cause I had some weird dreams the past week about a member here and well I came to look and seen the guest area and thought eh... give this guest thing a try if not then no worries... just saying hi

    Hope everyone is doing well.

From my end, missing my guy... missing Alberta... well mostly missing Alberta because guy is there and something bad happened to him recently and wish I can give support in person but I can't since Tuesday I leave to work.

Working at a diamond mine, I am part of the kitchen staff here so I get to learn more about cooking and stuff. I work 12 hour shifts for 14 straight days... but I get 14 days off... so it's intense but the breaks are great...

Past week I bought a tv and xbox and spent hours playing with that... finished Mass Effect 3 and I want my money back cause it was such a crappy ending. Sucking hard at NHL12.

Erm.... I am more away from the computer now, lol or else when I log on it I just check messages so that is a bonus for me... I live in a beautiful small town and summer is coming soon so I can't wait for the 24 hour daylight and head to a lake or something. I live in Yellowknife now and for the first time in my life... without any family near me...

Well I have an aunt here but we drive each other crazy with our opposite personalities that we're fine apart, lol. She helped me get a foot in the door in this town and now I am finally settling... well I been here a year but I find it hard to unpack most of my stuff... just weird thing with me there on that... I feel if I unpack then I feel like this is home and I dunno if I am really committed to it just yet.... even though it has been a year... *sighs at myself*

That and I travelled between Alberta and NWT a lot... also wanting to see Victoria or Vancouver or something like that.... most of the past year was a ton of travelling... the mine itself is about 500KM north of Yellowknife in the middle of the tundra, kinda neat to be there actually... something very spiritual about that isolation...

Rambling aside, things gotten wayyyyy better....

Well I read this and things really changed since April or whenever I wrote that, lmao.

Ahhh... still at the diamond mine and my rotation will be over on Tuesday, can't friggin wait to get out of this place!!!

Guy in Alberta was a jerk... hahaha!!! I sounded smitten on that note, Pffft... god...

When I'm out I get to go to Saskatchewan and meet up with people there and go to some festivals going on so that will be interesting. Since I have my bonus I have a bit more drinking money, lol. Oh geez, hopefully I don't get drunk this weekend... I prefer a good buzz but I don't know man, been awhile since I partied...

Gahhhh!!!! Today I seen a bear outside the dining room windows and I never took a pic but it was so neat seeing such a cute tiny Grizzly. In the tundra every animal is so tiny... veryyy cute...

I met a guy here in my workplace and since being here is very stressful I have someone to talk to and kiss occasionally. Lol... it's soooo weird though cause I keep going after Scottish bastards and few have been ex-military or in prison or both, lmfao.

But work man.... this rotation has been extra special for me by going so slow and having a crazier workload but before I was very tense about my tasks and this time around I'm more relaxed and in a groove. Surviving in my prep work. But I love being a part of the kitchen, today the first cook and I were talking and joking.... I made him smile huge so that was cool.

I keep wanting to see a thunderstorm all friggin summer and my friend said there is a likely chance it'll happen when I visit him. Yellowknife has great weather during the summer and I love rainy days a lot so I'm slightly pouty about that.

Oh yea... a lot of people notice how much I smile and just in my world of dancing or daydreaming, lots say it's cute and my nickname here is sunny... sooo funny cause a couple years ago was the exact opposite. I think I brought out my personality a heck of a lot more but I still hold back the random crazy side and save that for people who enjoy that, lol. I told the medic I wanted to bite a bird's head off a few days ago but come on man I'm on my red so then he laughed and told others and friggin Bill comes to me saying I'm a chicken choker but no worries he does it too and I said well you can have the roosters, too cocky for me..
