Yeah, I've read the books so I knew it wasn't going to be a 'nicely tied up all the loose ends' ending, but it was more that.... the bit where Katniss and Peeta decide to take the poison berries instead of having to kill each other, maybe it was because I knew what was coming, but I didn't feel any tension at all. It didn't seem like they were trying very hard to make it look like they were actually going to eat them, even though they were meant to be convincing the whole world that they'd rather die than be apart.

Not sure I explained that very well but yeah

I haven't seen Hunger Games yet. But whenever I read a book and then see the movie, the movie always seems shorter and with less depth. It's probably because a) it takes you longer to read the book than watch the movie and b) you get more detail with the book.

The movie is never going to be exactly like the book and I'm OK with that. After all, if they were exactly the same there would be no point seeing the movie. Plus, the director might have a different perspective than the author, and both of them pictured things differently than you did. So, it's never going to be perfect.

I disagree with this statement. If I really enjoy a book and they make a movie of it, I go see the movie because I want to see what I've read. I hate it when they change things.

I think they actually stayed very very true to the books in this case it was more the execution of some of the scenes that bothered me.

I do like it a lot when they make an effort to even get the clothes and hair 'right' on characters.

I saw it last week. I must say, it left me with a queasy feeling in my stomach. Don't get me wrong, the movie was great. It is action filled and has a very emotional/romantic side. The first part between the sisters brought tears to my eyes.. What I didn't like about the movie is the mindset behind it. How humans make other humans go through these "games" where they have to murder each other. I just find that repulsive.
Yes, gollum. But perhaps we sits here and chats with it a bitsy, my precious.

Alot of people are comparing it to the book back in the 90's, Battle Royale. ive never read it, but i think you might relate closer to that than The Hunger Games.
