Drowning Within Loneliness
Been a while since I wrote any poetry. I dunno why I was inspired tonight.
I sit here empty inside
With no one in my minds eye
no one within my mind
no one to call upon when i break down inside
no one to dry my eyes when i cry
if i say the lonesome life was ideal...
It'd be just another lie
Why am I alone?
When I need security...
I need you to blanket me
Comfort me and caress my stability
Loneliness must be the epitome of death
Because with one inside my soul
I die a little everyday
I crumble inside
I seem to waste away.
The drudgery of the masquerade I display
Trying to uphold a fallacy from day to day
It just drags me down
With no soul to cling to
Slowly I drown
I suffocate on this loneliness
Muffled screams of yearning
Seep from every orifice...
Love would be so glorious
If only I could find her
For now I sit and dwell on it
and this this as a reminder...
