wow, so at the rate I'm going I'm going to end up with my T9 shoulders (have already) and T9 legs on my mage... you can do the same heroic multiple times as part of the random heroic tool. So you can basically run heroics indefinitely now

At least for the time being

i dont are about welfare epics, its just silly how quickly they marginalize good gear. like, ilvl 232 from a 5 man are now better than epics dropped from ulduar 25.
icecrown 25 normal mode is higher ilvl gear than totgc, which is far more difficult than ICC thus far. i dont care that gear is easy to get, its just kind of dumb how fast gear is resetting.

Those 5-mans are also three of the most fun dungeons that I can remember being released in a long time.

So in other news, who all is planning on race changing any of their characters after Cataclysm comes out? I know that my (mainly) ret paladin is going to be changed to a Tauren, and my druid will change to a Troll. I think my other ones will pretty much stay the same... mainly because they're almost all blood elves, and I love arcane torrent.

Was leveling a DK and decided to hop on my Shammy a few days ago. Attempted to run a new raid and was terrible on Deeps so decided it was time to kick it into gear and get some better...uh gear. In the last three days I've got 4 out of the 5 pieces of T-9. I'm so sick of dungeons, but still have more work to do to get the legs and other stuff I need to upgrade.
My GS right now is only at 4444 so I want to hit 5k by the end of this week which should definitely be able to be done.

What are you using to find your gear score? I generally go by WoW-Heroes, but based on the number you're giving, I'm guessing you're not using that

In other news, our massive guild of three people ran a 10-man ICC on Monday night. Took down Marrowgar on the first try, but ended up wiping about 5 times on Lady Deathwhisper before finally killing her with almost everyone dead. We were pugging 7 people though, and neither myself nor Anastasia (main tank and main healer) had seen the place before, nor had probably 2-3 of the DPS. Fortunately though, our other guild member is a friend that just transferred and had been doing both 10 and 25 ICC with his guild before he got sick of them and quit.

Gonna try and run another one of those tomorrow night I think.

I'm a dinky little level 38 Hunter... still doing the standard quests... slogging around "Booty Bay" right now.

I don't even belong to a guild.

It's called gearscore. It's an addon. You will also be able to mouse over other players and see their GS.

Be.imba.hu is another good site to check on players as well. I used to use wow-heros, but prefer be imba.

ah yes, I forgot about the gearscore addon. Just installed it, and discovered that my Paladin's GS is 4889. Makes me sad seeing all kinds of 5k+ scores, especially on those that I know suck.

Yea it's definitely true the GS doesn't determine how well the player is. I have had a few fail runs with those geared out compared to me but yet I was one who was out DPS'n and living longer because they just screwed around.

I know my GS isn't high at all, but a week ago I was only at 3800 and that's only cuz I was gone for the last four months. I hope to be above 5k by the end of this week....HOPE is the key word.

i race changed to an orc, since ill probably get the first or second shadowmourne in my guild and i want the axe expertise. as for gearscore, i think most of the people who are "upset" with its use are those who either have low gear sccores, or those who are not a fan of competition. either way, for what its worth, it is useful in determining if a player is worth bringing. a good player in blues is probably not going to be worth taking over an idiot in 245/264s.

in any event, i dont even know what my gear score is

i have a lot of phat purpz though.
