Tokenz: 501 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was wondering what everyone's 2 favorite Star Wars movies where, and why. Being a Star Wars fanboy and all that, I was wondering what everyone else thought. Any questions, feel free to ask. If you don't like Star Wars, please simply move along, don't be childish and piss all over a thread just because you can. Thank you. As far as my personal favorite go, there's no competition: #1: Empire. This is easily the best Star Wars movie, it has the best plot, best ending, best soundtrack, and all the legendary scenes are from Empire. The most quoted line in all of Star Wars, if not all films, comes from this movie. This movie introduced Yoda. This movie is kick ass. #2: Jedi. This is my second favorite movie, because it showcases the final confrontation between Luke, Vader, and the Emperor. Those God-damn Ewoks are the reason it couldn't really make it compete with Empire. Little fuzzy midget creatures beating and outsmarting the Empirial Army? Bullshit. Everything else about the movie was kick ass though, so it still gets an easy second place. SIDE NOTE: I honestly wish Darth Maul could have been put into another movie, since Jar Jar managed to make Episode I one of the worst movies ever. Darth Maul is, in my opinion, better than Vader. Sure, Vader just walks around ruining everyone's shit, and I still love Vader as a character, but he's clunky ass hell. Maul was awsome with a lightsaber, and barely got beat out by possibly the greatest Jedi Master ever, next to Yoda. (Obi-Wan). Also, I actually find that if I just forget about paying attention everytime Jar Jar is on-screen, Episode I is actually a kick ass movie. (Although any of the new movies just suck in comparison to the original ones.) So yeah, there's my little ramble on Star Wars. So what do you guys think?

It redefined SciFi for a whole new generation, changed the way Special FX are used in movies, brought people back to the theaters & gave us one of the best fairy tales since the Brothers Grimm. I have a hard time choosing between the rest, although Jar Jar Binks was annoying as hell, so was young Annikin - yeah not a big Hayden Christensen fan. Empire Strikes Back does have some great moments. Allan

Jar Jar is the worst character ever (even worse than the Ewoks... at least they got their own spin-off movie) and Hayden whateverhisnameis has got to be the worst actor ever. All he did in episodes 2 and 3 was whine and complain the whole time. Now. My #1 choice is Empire. It was the best story IMO. Then #2 would be A New Hope. Come on... a young Carrie Fisher running around in that loose-fitting white get up with no bra on? What's not to like about that? Boobars own me! |

I concur with Reaver when he talked about the best plot and stuff. However, 6 seemed as if it was created to entertain the masses, as opposed to create a real cinematic masterpiece. I personally liked 3, though. Hayden Christianson or whater the hell his name is absolutely butchered the entire PT, however, the plot and structure of the movie was very, very good. They managed to sucessfully create enough tension in the beginning (in such a limited amount of time) to really make the action in the end worthwhile. Also, John Williams outdid himself in 3. As a musician, and a die hard John Williams fanatic, I can safely say that this was Williams' best work since the original soundtrack. So, in my opinion from best to worst: 5,3,6,4,1,2. |

Tokenz: 123 ![]() | "Empire had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All "Jedi" had was a bunch of Muppets" I'm completely agree with Dante :P |

On a side note is anybody here loking forward to seeing Fanboys when its released early in 2008? Fanboys (2008)

I like #6 because Carrie Fisher wears a metal bikini that she's practically falling out of... |
