Default Top 100 albums

This was on TV last night? OK Computer - Radiohead won. Good album but I don't think I'd have it as the best. I was just wondering what everyone else thinks is the all time best album? I find this hard as many albums are great in different ways but if I had to stick my neck on the line I'd probably go for The Beatles - Rubber Soul.

OK Computer by Radiohead is a friggin' amazing album. I don't think that it's the best album of the past hundred years, since I can think of some albums I think SOUND better, but OK Computer is certainly up there. I don't disagree with the choice, though, when taking into account popularity...

i wasn't too happy about radio-head getting the top spot, i didn't quite understand, was the outcome decided by a public vote or by sales?

Blur's Park life should have been higher
Pixies should have been higher
Sex pistols should have been higher
The Clash should definitely been higher

the whole program annoyed me

FLEETWOOD MAC - Rumours
MEATLOAF - Bat Out of Hell
PINK FLOYD - The Wall
ULTRAVOX - Vienna
DIRE STRAITS - Making Movies

Not necessarily in that order (& these are mainstream picks).

I think that there are a lot of good albums missing & I find it interesting that Radiohead get 2 in the top 25 - that puts them just behind The Beatles & I'll bet that very few people have heard many songs from either of their albums. I know I'm not a big fan.

I'm not saying Radiohead is bad, I'm just trying to put the result into persective. I reckon that a lot of Radiohead fans got together & put in a lot of votes.
