Default Different Doctors

Growing up, I had one GP, one dentist, one chiropractor, and one psychologist that I saw pretty much exclusively. I had the same doctors for my entire childhood and teen years.

Now, I have different doctors for practically all of them. Most of them were okay changes, like the doctor and dentist. Who cares? My psychologist changed a year ago, and that was tough for a while, but he's cool.

I got a new chiropractor, and this could even be worse than changing psychologists.

My old one was absolutely crazy, and would say things like, "you seem awfully attached to this arm" while twisting your elbow into positions you've only seen circus contortionists do. She was a conspiracy theorist, and distracted me from my creaking joints by telling me about the great Canadian conspiracies (which is amusing in itself).

This new one is kind of soft and compliant. I went to him to tame the creaking, cracking thing that is my neck, and after propping my ass up with pillows, he told me it would be a "full body process" that would require four more sessions. Four more sessions = $$$. WHAT THE HELL. I SLEPT ON IT WRONG. JUST CRACK IT, BLINKY, AND LET'S GO.

I hate changing doctors. Hate. Hate. Hate. Hate.

How do you feel about your doctors?

I so rarely need to see a doctor (touches wood) that I have no relationship with them at all.

As for a chiropractor.. I had about 6 or 8 sessions with one a while back and it cost me so much I would seriously consider going back to him again.. .painkillers are cheaper!

See a Psychologist???? ARE YOU NUTS??? J/k

I have GP, and thats about it.

Is a friendly relationship with your gynaecologist considered improper?

Other than that, I don't do doctors.

Just an FYI, most doctors hate us (patients) just as much. They usually hate to be bugged.

I've had a whole slew of Doctors since I got sick but my GP's name is still one of my favourites. Her name is Dr SOS.

My body hates me, so generally I'm willing to pay to get it tamed. My old chiropractor was so amazing she could have charged a lot more than she did without me complaining, but she didn't, which was nice.

Ive only had 1 doctor, my family physician, and luckily so far he has been great!
But from working with the ER doctors, they get so sick and tired of all the bullshit and petty crap from people.

Yeah, I always go to my friend's house to watch Untold Stories of the ER. Some of the stuff they put up with is really ridiculous.
