That's pretty damn badass for the price. The only thing that could be better is the video card, but it's still good.

looks nice...power on a budget...aren't their cheaper like wholesale type places to purchase parts from then new egg? I know their service is good but they are still kinda pricey.

yes, if your looking for a decent computer for normal tasks, and some gaming, manufactured pcs like hp/compaq/dell/gateway/et cetera are a pretty good deal.

only thing i wouldn't like about it is that its gateway. after the warranty is up expect to pay out your ass for replacement parts since everything is gateway specefic ie: motherboard, powersupply, sometimes case fans and cpu fans. ive seen gateway power supplies go for about 150-200 and motherboards for the same.

I don't know how the rest of you look at it, but whenever I see "Gateway", my expectations are immediately lowered. Then I saw "AMD Athlon" which totally turned it down for me. I used to have an AMD Athlon 2.0 GHz, but the processor is so shitty that the 2.0 GHz in reality is about 1.6GHz. The only thing that impresses me is the 2GB of memory, basically. I always build my computers anyway.

.... wait, this thing is over $1000??? You've gotto be kidding me.... Here's my desktop:

Intel Pentium 4 3400 MHz
1024 RAM
GeForce FX 6600 (PCIE port)

That only cost me about $500, I even got a really cool-looking case. I bought all those things in parts, obviously, and this desktop beats the crap out of the shitty Gateway you're looking at. I guess what you're REALLY paying for on this Gateway is the hard drive and the memory... and I don't see why anyone would require 320 friggin' GB worth of space and 2GB worth of freaking memory when 1GB is enough for the next couple of years.

So my suggestion is to build your own, it's not too difficult.

Its nice but I think too expensive you can get one a couple hundred cheaper if you go a few months (older model) back or wait a few months

Computers are a waste when they are new arrivals cuz they upgrade monthly Never buy new in three months they will add the Vid card and sell it cheaper just to get rid of it. Know what im saying

you are better off building your own or getting one built to the specs you want...The one I built is insane!...And no computer out there yet can touch mine....I think Alienware is getting closer but not close enough after next month!
