ok im about to give up. its acting up again. i seriously think its a browser problem. i took off Firefox and reinstalled it and it downloaded the file in about a second or 2. so i knows its not a downloading problem. its got to be a browser problem. it doesnt matter if im using firefox or IE6. loading of the pages are so slow to where it locks up. the lady even gave me alink i can use to check the staus of my modem and everything checks out fine.


is there anything computer wise i can do to maybe speed up the browsing. maybe refragmenting or convert from a FAT32 to a NTFS. systerm max says the FAT32 is really only good for a system that has 4 GB or less. and i have a 60 GB HD

eh ... the file system shouldnt cause the problem. the file system is how the computer operating system accesses files stored on your hard drives. if not dual booting ( like windows xp and windows 98 ) or something like that, i would go ahead and convert to ntfs. that may be a big and involved step, unless there is a utility that can do that.

have you emptied your temp folder recently?

yeah i do it alot. with my system max system i just have to click something and it will convert over to NTFS. dint take to long last time i did it but then not to long ago i clicked a button and restored my computer to like it was from the factory. so ill go ahead and do it again and i did the analized to see if i needed to refragment and windows says i should go ahead and do that so il do that too and if it doesnt help im gonna smash the computer to a million billion pieces.
