Give it two or three years andyou can buy the console or game for a fraction of the price. I dont think they neccessarily get better either, yeah, the graphics ect do but the enjoyment dosent, some of the simplest games give me the most fun! What do you think?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Games are getting better. If we look at Bioware and their three most recent rpg franchises, you can see a definite improvement in each. Star Wars KotOR is one of the best games ever made, but their most recent effort, Mass Effect, just completely blows it away on every level. As consoles get better, game developers can do new things. And i don't really think the price of games has gone up. An original Xbox game cost the same as a 360 game 6 years ago. And £44 is not too big a price to pay for games. Xbox live allows you to do amazing things with games like TW 09. Paying for a gold membership increases the playability of most games a million fold. And then you have downloadable content that adds levels or missions to games. |

I know I've played Oblivion for over 130 hours, same with Call of Duty 4 and Rock Band. So at $60, that's less than $2 per hour of enjoyment per game. That's cheaper than going to a movie or bowling, and WAY cheaper than any professional sporting event or night out on the town. |

That said, some games are absolutely timeless, and improvements in technology will never remove what makes games like Ocarina of Time, KotOR, Mario 64, Goldeneye, and Mass Effect special. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | How? Those games are not great in spite of technological advancement. If i listed Pong, then maybe i'd see your point. In fact 3 are on the N64, of which games were notoriously pricey (due to using a cartridge)...And Mass Effect, the best game on that list, is on a next gen console. Waiting three years to play either one would actually make the first play through a little less special. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Only play a few hours each day then? It's not the games fault if you lock yourself in a room and play a game for 2 days straight. I pretty much did that with Mass Effect. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think that's true of a lot of the games that are released these days. But there are some really really good ones. I'd only be willing to buy about 10 percnent of all the games that are released. |
