I am a Libetarian so I can find little to agree with that Obama has to say. He IS a socialist when you sort thru his rhetoric. And shiny or not an empty suit is still.......... an empty suit. First of all, I didn't try to defend anything--if I want to defend something, I won't try, I'll do it.

Second, the point I was making which you completely missed is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with voting for someone because there is something you have in common with them (such as race). The issue of racism goes to your reasons--there are positive, negative, and neutral reasons to focus on race. My point with regard to Lieberman was that there are many Jewish people who feel something in common with Lieberman and would vote for him on that basis. There are plenty of black people who would vote for Obaman because they have something in common with him--nothing wrong with that. But as soon as a white person votes for a white person for the same reason, you liberals are ready to villainize the person as a racist--you throw the race card around so often that you perpetuate the divides that exist!

not rude at all...actually to be honest after I typed that out I thought the same as you...just never got around to changing it....but you know, regardless of Mccain or Barack I think we'll end up with the same crap from the US as we have always had.
