thats what a friend of mine in Indy says too....she said hes likely to get assassinated because there are still too many KKK's around. Sad that... I wonder how many will vote for the old guy because of the fact of him being white versus obama's black. If I lived in the US, I'd vote Obama just for what he stands for, not for his skin.

as far as assassination by the KKK goes...if an Islamic terrorist cant get around the security surrounding the president then I seriously doubt the members of the KKK could do any better. There are plenty of people who would like to see Bush dead...hasnt happened yet (thank God!)

Depending upon your view it really doesn't make any difference because these same people have historically voted Democrat so Obama picks up nothing, vote wise, as the result of the color of his skin.

It does make a difference if you've got people not voting for him specifically because he's black and going for McCain just because he's white. It might be more civil today (or should I say hidden?), but this aspect of the U.S. is still there.

Your statement says more about you than any liberal. The implied statement was that Obama can be proud of being black because of where he is today in the political arena.

Yes, that's was my earlier point. Obama attracting the black vote really doesn't do him any good because as a Democrat he would have attracted the black vote anyway. Now if he was a black Republican......well now there is a different story.
