I think its just that the card is old and the driver updates don't let me get to all the features I can do with the monitor. I'm going to go try to find a power cord adapter tomorrow.

BFG: Big Fucking Gun; however, it could be Big Fucking Graphics, but I highly doubt this usage, but it works within the understandable parameters.

I got it working, but now I just need to resize the resolution and get my brother to help me so I can get it fitting on the screen correctly.

Until my laptop gets back from the store, I'm stuck with this for the time being.
