Default The Office VS The Office

So I just finished the NBC version of The Office and I absolutely loved every moment. I've been considering watching the BBC version while I wait for Season 5 of the US series. Has anyone watched both versions?

Yes.

And I may be biased, but the original is way better. And the orginal I think is overrated.

I've heard the original is better, but I fell in love with the US cast so it'll be a weird switch.

The remake is actually pretty good and that's saying something from an Englishman who dosen't usually get American humour! I have to say though that the origional is a classic and better. Hey, watch both, make your mind up and enjoy!

I've been watching BBC Office clips today, and the NBC one is pretty much a knock off of it. I have a feeling I'll be more attached to the NBC one though because I learned to love the characters through those actors, but who knows. Plus I love Jenna Fischer.

I think a lot of it's down to culture humour, both were written by Ricky Gervais and he'a genious to appeal to both sides of the market, despite our different senses of humour.

In my opinion, I like the US version better. The first season was more or less a knock off, but that was just to see if the US audience would get into the show. Season 2 is fantastic, 3 was pretty decent, but not as good and im watching season 4 now.

Carell is a genius on that show, as is Dwight.
