AVG is making things run really slowly on my computer and making Firefox's pages lag really bad. Any suggestions for another program?

i use spybot serach and destroy, its free and no bullshit requried to get it (not sure if its the same now) with free updates.

no, it gets malware, viruses, trojans, etc. it also has an immunity feature.

When I installed AVG it also installed some AVG Firefox add-on bullshit that made my pages load really slow. Try disabling it, because besides that AVG is my favorite anti-virus.

AVG is the fucking pits if you have it on all the time.

Turn it off and only run it when you think you need to, or get WIndows Defender, which is way better anyway.

You don't have anything else running, do you? AOL has its own security center that doesn't play well with AVG. You can't have more than one anti-virus program installed. It doesn't end well.

argghhh....so thats what my problem is! I upgraded to AVG 8.0 and my computer has been bogged down ever since. I've been blaming my son for his online gaming but didnt realize that it might be my AVG. The old version never gave me any problems.

Guess I should look around for some new virus protection!
