Default What does 143 days of experience qualify you for? Apparently President of the US!

Seriously--would you hire anyone to do any job for you with 143 days of experience? Hell, a 16 year old needs more time than that to get a driver's licence in most states. Even Kindergarten lasts longer than that. Yet we have Moore-Ons who want to put a person in office as the leader of the free world with exactly that amount of experience!

Obama's 143 Days of Senate Experience\
Posted by Cheri Jacobus

Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days? Not much. From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan. 143 days -- I keep leftovers in my refrigerator longer than that.

In contrast, John McCain's 26 years in Congress, 22 years of military service including 1,966 days in captivity as a POW in Hanoi now seem more mpressive than ever. At 71, John McCain may just be hitting his stride.

Yeah, experience is such a great measure of success and leadership abilities such as W's 5 years as Governor of Texas.

Well you apparently think he screwed everything up so apparently 5 years isn't even close to enough--so you'd take 143 days instead?

Tell us how much experience John McCain has?

So basically experience counts for nothing at all then?

Thanks for your vote Fox but I've decided I'm not a big enough asshole to run for office.

Actually experience does count for President if 1) you are intelligent, 2) you have good ideas, 3) you learn from your experience. However I've watched McCain contort himself into a conservative to get elected. I've just had seven plus years of so-called conservatism and have had enough. It's time for a change imho.

Does anyone here feel it very strange that despite the disaster this country is currently facing, we've got cheerleaders rooting for more of the same?

Apparently they just like talking out their asses... it's easier to go with the flow. I myself would rather swim against the current...

So are we only counting his days in the Senate now? What about the rest of his career?

So when we are talking about president of the United states, it's better to have another elitist who was born into a life a privilege who finished at the very bottom of his class, or one that was given nothing and ended up working his own way up to becoming president of Harvard law review... the most coveted academic achievement possible at one of our highest institutes of education...

You guys actually kill me... you must have your heads so far up your asses to think McCain is a better choice than Obama, and those are the only two choices we have... McCain will be nothing more than a third Bush term, and that's not just a talking point. If you really believe that this country will do better with Grandpa McCain as president, then you truly are delusional.

You mean the Democrats screwing up the econonmy? Funny, but even with a recession that was left us in 2000 after Clinton's term, Bush's economy was blazing untill--well, until Democrats took over Congress in 2006. Funny how they aren't getting any of the blame in your book even though they pass all the legislation. Why is no blame being cast their way? Or did you forget how great the economy was for up till about a year ago?

You have to be fucking kidding me... you are living in a alternate universe if you think the democrats had anything to do with the fucking terrible economy. You really don't have a clue, do you?

Take a close look and try to spin this...

Looks like it's getting somewhat better since 2006... I thought you said it was because of the democrats? You really don't know what your talking about, do you. What a joke.

It looks like it's been getting better than '04 there Tim. This chart is misleading on purpose, and two years ago, you would have been the first guy to point out how. Now here you are posting it.

Dot-com boom. 9/11. Chart spun.
