this is nothing comparing with the muslims suffering around the world.

The only difference is that the suffering of any Christian can find a place in the international press .. The suffering of those Muslim peoples cannot be seen anywhere in this press !!!

At the same time, these press and newspapers are committed to fully silence like a stone! .. when a Palestinian village is totally destroyed ... Or hundreds of them are massacred by Israeli soldiers ... Or bombings in Afghanistan and Chechnya .. Or massacres in Kosovo and Bosnia .. we hear no story! .. Only a little breath!

Let's get back to the topic now !

No offense intended, but human psychology seems to indicate that specific religious dogma is exactly that, an emotional crutch, so that individuals have confidence they will be looked after in the next life. Could I be wrong, yes I could.

Could you be wrong? Sure, but you aren't. Even if the bible happens to be true, it's still used as an emotional crutch.

That's a tough choice. As much as I despise both, I think I'd prefer the government.

Why do you despise the Bible? Most of it teaches some very good lessons frankly. I think the problem is more with how certain people interpret it.

A red letter bible (one that includes only Jesus' specific teachings) wouldn't be so bad. I'd still have issues with it claiming to be the only way and the whole faith without proof of any kind thing but I wouldn't despise it. It's the rest of the bible along with the vast majority of ways it's interpreted that I despise.

I don't think most people have problems with the moral rules put forth by the Bible as interpreted by modern standards. Most controversy has to do with where the rules originated from.

christianity, judaism and islam are all very similar in thier beliefs which is why i sometimes think if only there was a religious solution to everything
