I need insight on this one. I've been told before that blue neons AT ALL is illegal(Obvious reasons, no red or blue). But I saw an episode of Pimp My Ride(Then again, it is TV) where they installed blue neons on a truck. I saw a truck this weekend with purple neons(Dodge Dakota), and it made me think about getting blue ones for my Explorer. Would straight-up blue(Not purple, borderline blue) neons be illegal? I heard from one person that blue at all is illegal, but my friend Katie says it's only illegal if they're flashing blue.

Blue is the only color I would do. I hate the way green and purple look.

I can't help you on the yank laws, but in UK they are definatley illegal.

And I believe I saw an episode of pimp my ride where they installed some neons that had to be taken off because they were illegal.

Ah. Damn, that suuuucks.

Well, hopefully in Florida, the laws are different. I mean, it's illegal to even drive with any color neons on(Distraction to other drivers), yet I've seen tons of people out here drive with them on, and even have a cop beside them at a stop light. Not so much as a warning, let alone ticket.

Eh, I wouldn't mind blue. Anything else I wouldn't want on here. I've seen trucks, and Ford Focus's with them. I've seen worse than my car.

Ha, I'm not going ghetto here. Just neons, that's it. keeping stock paint, stock rims, stock tint(I actually have bad-ass stock tint. I have no need to waste money getting any). I am getting a new radio and new speakers though. I listen to louder music(Linkin Park, Silverstein, All Time Low, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus), so my speakers sound terrible. But I'm not getting subwoofers. Just new speakers.

Edit: Ok, so I just called the local Sheriff's office. Apparently it's illegal to have any blue neons at all anywhere on the car(So inside, outside, doesn't matter). Sucks, but I may get some, and just not drive around with them on(Just like, show them off at a friend's house or something.

I'm pretty sure that driving with them on at all is illegal, but you'd have to look up your own state laws. Here in IL we can't even have window tint.
