Default Any gardeners in the house?

I usually do houseplants and flowers but I'm trying tomatoes too this summer. Big Boys and Sweet 100's. They haven't grown much since I planted them but they seem to be taking off now...

I love home grown tomatos, however, the only stuff I can grow is in forgotten containers in the fridge

I have some flowers growing... and I have a green pepper plant as well as a cucumber plant. We'll see how it comes out

I want to try cucumber too. I dunno if it's too late in the season though.

The ground here is shit - all red clay, so I mostly just plant in pots. Lots of pots. As of now, I have snapdragons, petunias, ivy and verbena. The tomatoes are in the ground though. I ruffed up a bed for those.

clays full of untapped nutrients.......dig in some peat to keep it broken down and those cucumbers will grow like crazy

I planted radishes once, they were horrid. I never got any at all, just leaves. Not a single radish. Same think with carrots. I don't know what I did wrong

Well the bed I dug up for the tomatoes - I dug up the clay and mixed good soil with it (tip - anything by the brand 'Miracle-Gro' works awesome.) If it isn't too late in the season I have another bed that I can try the cucumbers in where I did the same thing.

Landscaping, yes. Gardening no.

Good time to grow your own tomatoes though.

Yeah they really seem to be taking off now. I'm having to pinch flowers though. But I'll still get tomatoes right lol?
