Nobody knows the situation they are in, some people just cant help but to eat to suppress emotions, feelings, or depression. The simple fact that they are heavier than anyone else does not make them any lower in the social ladder to make them disgusting. Hell, some of them may even be happier or more successful than you, me or anyone on here.

The fact that someone can get sick to their stomach just by watching an obese person, should be something to throw some alarms up! Maybe it is a phobia, an unfounded fear, past experiences, bad memories.. either way if you have a problem that bad to where youre actually vomiting when you see obese people, which by world standards is becoming more and more abundant... youre just in as bad a shape as the big person you are so repulsed by.

I would suggest some counseling

yes actually, the lady on the show ended up figuring out she had a phobia. Thanks to Dr Phil and his awesomeness.

I myself have some serious phobias, i have an anxiety disorder but i think im bipolar, if someone went off about it. i would'nt cry a river, i'd shrug it off, i have thick skin.

true, but alot of them blame their fatness on some childhood trauma, my dad beat me, my brother fingered me, my cat died, like ok. sad times but get over it.

im just the type of person to just deal with shit. I had a baby 13 months ago and obviously I gained weight, but as soon as it was medically safe for me to work out, I did. I got up, walked with my baby, went swimming and eventually hit the gym. WITH A BABY. Im back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I was determined not to get fat. It was that simple.

Hey guess what. I've read many thiings you've said and found them, not only hypocritical, but offensive as well. Particualry, when you make a thread and complain when someone posts a silly pic, or responds "off topic" to it. Then you go and do the same in other threads. Telling people this thread is useless..."what's the point of this?" ....etc. But, I fail to find the desire to bitch about it. Why? Because one simple click and I move on.

Not every topic is going to be posted with kid gloves. There are crass things in the world that people refrain to mention, but yet, it's a forum, you can't dictate what others should and shouldn't do.

Also, this is about OBESE people. As I recall, you are not in this class. In fact, I don't know anyone on this board is. Keep that in mind, too. It was mentioned several times..."obese" NOT just overweight/chubby, etc...
