Default wallpaper border?

I want to put up a border in the middle of the wall in the baby room. However I do NOT want to permanently place it there. Is there a good way for it to stay up temporarily?? I was thinking thumbtacks but that might not be a good idea since it's going in the middle of the wall, those are a choking hazzard. Maybe double stick tape? Any ideas?? Also I know there is temporary sticky back wall border but I already have one i want to use that matches a set.

Maybe staple it at the ends and the center, that might keep it up.

It depends on the paint you have on the wall right now. If it's a flat paint, your job will be much tougher.

If it's a semigloss or gloss, just put it up like normal and removal will be easy with warm water.

If it is a flat paint and you want the border up for at least a year, I say just put it up as per instructions. Again, removal of wall paper over paint is not that big a deal. But because it is a flat paint, you may need to roll a quick coat of paint over the area where the border was.

With hot water and a ******, you can soften borders and slowly peel them off without damaging the paint underneath. It sure beats the look of a border that's hanging by a few staples. And make no mistake, it will start to curl and hang off the wall making it look trashy.
