My bedroom door is broken and I want to replace it myself so the lady who owns the house (one of my roomie's moms) won't charge me an excessive amount.

I found two on the home depot website that match my door, but there's a slight difference. Can anyone explain the difference between these two?

The door on the left is already bored (Drilled) for the door knob and mortised for the backset (the edge of the door)

This is what you want so you don't have to buy the tools to drill the door yourself.

You must check the location of the bore on your existing door. Measure from the top of the door down to the center of your knob. Take this measurement to Home Depot and see if it matches the location of the bore. If not, you will have to relocate your strike plate (the metal plate where your door latches into when it's closed) on your existing door frame at home.
You should also check the hinge size and location on the new door. These must also match your existing door.
The way we measure for those is from top of door to top of each hinge. Then measure the hinge size... it should be 3 1/2" tall with rounded corners
