In matters of science, maths and language, I'd agree with you,

but in the arts, philosophy and spirituality it is the other way around. The reason for this I see is, outward needs to be proved, the inward needs to be disproved, you cannot prove matters of the soul, only disprove the ignorances that made them, a far better person that me came up with that, and said it far more eloquently.

the onus probandi is not being shifted, I am mearly stating that in spirituality we are set by different boundaries for beliefs than what we are with science. All this thread is now about is saying prove it, disprove it, but the heart does not work that way, it is the thoughts behind that make the belief. These thoughts cannot be dealt a death blow, by saying 'you are wrong', or it's 'obvious cause .. yada yada yada'. To set straight whether God exists or not, we (and this is a cross-cultural manifestation) have to look inward not outward, to the thoughts behind the actions, the feeling behind the belief, once we stop trying to prove or disprove, that is when we will see the truth
