That bloody thing ain't got no firewire connectivity. Firewire is the way to go man. USB is too slow in this day and age. Will advise you to get one with Firewire. Much faster speed transer, reliable. May be a tard more expensive but would be worth it. After all, you not going to be buying another one in a hurry.

This is the same model drive, yet it's a 500GB, and it's only $111. Newegg.com - Seagate FreeAgent Desktop ST305004FDA1E1-RK 500GB 7200 RPM USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - Retail |

Talking about connectivity between your computer and the external hardrive and it's ability to communicate with one another to transfer files. Significant difference in USB and Firewire. And believe you me, you would be transferring files between the two probably more regularly than you imagine right now. Plus, when you thinking about a large amount of files that would be stored you need a faster rate of communication. Take my foolish advice and get one with Firewire.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There's nothing wrong with USB.. It's not like he's going to be constantly transfering large amounts of files on, then off the drive. He's more than likely going to store some files on there, and enjoy the portability. Yeah firewire is faster.. But not all computers have firewire ports on them. Heck, eSATA is even faster than firewire. But again, even more computer don't have eSATA ports on them. |
