yeah Hurley is alive. I was thinking Locke. He was old. No one liked him much.
Didn't have many people in life who would go to his funeral.

Hurley is alive at some point after they get back yes. BUT. Jack visited Hurley and said he was thinking of growing a beard. When Jack saw the casket he had a beard.

My bet would be Ben, because it wasnt a big casket and it was a man. Dont know why that would upset Jack though.

I thought it was about time someone told me why a polar bear was on the island.

Now for the black smokey thingy.

Its taking more of a supernaturalistic route... i.e. Jacob.. how he can't be seen.
