The AC vent on one of my rooms is not blowing air. Is it a big deal to climb in the attic and see if it is blocked or if the duct is loose?

You can do it yourself. It's not that hard to do as long as you follow some basic safety rules. Home fixtures are very easy to replace with very few common tools.

Just let me know what is there now and what you would like to replace it with and I'll walk you through it.

I would take a quick look in the attic to see if a box or something is crushing the duct. Visual inspection is always the best first course of action.

Always unplug...

to get access to the belt (if it is belt drive) you would have to remove the entire back panel of the washer.

But let me add... MOST machines are very hard to replace a belt... they don't make it easy...

so trying to remove the clothes and running it through it's paces is the best first option... If the drum won't move at all, then you will need to call in a service person.... replacing a broken belt is beyond most do it yourselfers...

Yup, sounds like a problem with the drive belt...

Something is preventing it from freely spinning... like a bad bearing, etc... and the belt just doesn't have enough gription (grip/traction) to get it spinning...

Very easy to replace... just find another light fixture you like and buy it... they will pretty much be all universal.

It will either be screwed on like this

or it will have a bigger base that screws into the same electrical box in the ceiling...

It may even look like this

But they all connect into the same 4" electrical ceiling light box...

So get any style you want and I'll walk you through the install...
