Why don't you give us the specifics of your system. Do you have DirectX installed? Most video cards require this to function properly. Have you recently taken on any windows updates? What operating system are you running? Did you recently add something to machine? Why don't you take a screen shot of your hardware list under device manager.

I would do what Johnny stated above and download the latest and greatest video driver for your video card, if you can even find that info. If you have a dell, their website has a great utility to tell you what is installed on your system and what came with your computer originally.
