Tokenz: 81,824   |  strobe sound? why does it sound like a strobe thumping noise is coming out of the speakers of my lap top?? did i blow out a speaker or something?

Tokenz: 257 | Re: strobe sound? Sometimes it sounds like that if the volume is turned up high but you aren't doing anything with sound. For example, if you were listening to music last time you used it, left the volume turned up, but now you're just on the computer with no audio. |

Tokenz: 81,824 | Re: strobe sound? ok- so its weird... i have a subwoofer and speakers for my computer- ya know for when i really wanna jam out.. anyways- when i plug them in, the sound stops.. when i unplug them thump thump thump again... i had my laptop with me on the way to work.. and it thumped all the way here- i dont think anything was interfering...

Tokenz: 257 | Re: strobe sound? It sounds like there might be a sub volume control on the laptop for the extra speakers- different then the volume control for the built in ones. If it's turned up (check your control panel) it might cause that noise when the speakers aren't plugged in. |
