Have any of you watched this show? I think its been on the past 2 yrs I believe.
Chef Ramsay is a hard ass on the contestants with his screaming, cursing, and throwing food.
I sure wouldnt make it on that show.....I would leave crying

I have watched the first season... but that guy is too mean. I wouldnt stand that show for the first 5 minutes.

I can't believe this thread didn't get more response!!! I was going to start a new one, but I decided to search first to see if there was already one. Chef Ramsey is super harsh on all the cooks, but at the same time it's funny as hell to watch him. LOL

I wouldn't last a minute...I'd cry.

I made a thread about him one night a few weeks ago, b/c I was online and tv was just on for background noise, with his American show of our English version.

I posted a thread about it b/c he was in Jersey I think it was and knowing a few were and are from Jersey online, posted it up.

He is a nasty piece of work, yet has a lovely wife would you believe.

In his house, he has his kitchen and she has her kitchen.

His wife has also produced some cookery books. I haven't bought any, but they are out therre.

She is pleasant.

I don't know how he gets the ratings he gets, but he hasn't been banned from doing these shows.

I think he is vile as do many people over here, but he must make the tv companies plenty of money to be allowed to still be filming.

He is supposed to be intelligent (or pretty bright anyway), but you don't go around saying stuff like him, with absolutely no respect for other people and still try to say you are pretty bright.

I remember him being interviewed a long while ago now, saying he is not going to be something as mundane (words to that effect, as too long ago to remember word for word now) as a celebritiy chef - and he is, hummmmmm..........

classed as just that!!!!!

Oh I agree he can be a dick, but I still love his shows and I damn sure wouldn't turn down a chance to eat at one of his restaurants. I love the show and I loved Kitchen Nightmares, too (ewwww at some of the restaurants, though...they were disgusting!!!).

On a side note...I just saw today while googling some Hell's Kitchen stuff that Rachel from the 2nd season (the blonde butch chick) died May of last year. Cause of death was a gunshot wound which, from what I can find, is assumed to be self-inflicted but I don't know that there's an official ruling just yet.

i think hes a fake asshole. It's a gimmick, like peter said, to increase ratings. If i was on the show I would probably talk back to him! I can't wait until someone gives him a taste of his own medicine!

Oh many do and have given him a taste of his own medicine, but get no-where at all when they try. When he is on talk shows though, he does nothing but try coming across as civil and refrains from the foul language.
