Default Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

I saw this movie last night. I don't care what anyone says, this movie was amazing. Some people keep saying that it was confusing and too long, but I found it very understandable if you actually pay attention, and it wasn't too long. There are some pretty decent twists, and it's almost a direct sequel, minus the beginning scenes. This movie was definately action-packed, while at the same time keeping some emotion to it(The Will-Elizabeth deal). Also, to anybody that hasn't seen this movie and plans on it, stay after the credits to catch an extra scene For those of you who have seen it and didn't know, here's the spoiler of the extra scene:

After the credits roll...

TEN YEARS LATER - We see a little boy of about ten years old running through the countryside by the shore, followed shortly by Elizabeth. The pair go to the edge of the cliff and watch the sunset. As the last rays of light touch the horizon, the sun flashes green and starts to rise again. In the distance, a ship can now be seen approaching the shore and onboard, Will Turner looks up at his family and smiles.

And this means the curse was broken. But only those of you that have seen the movie probably know what that means. It's the curse of the Flying Dutchman. If Elizabeth stayed faithful to Will for 10 years, the curse was broken and he was free of the Flying Dutchman and could return to land whenever he wanted. The scene that explains this was one of the final cuts, due to time constraints.

Also, a few other cool things to think about:

WILL stabs Davy Jones’ heart, with Jack’s assistance. The one who stabs Jones’ heart becomes the new captain, which is why Will, not Jack, is the new captain of the Dutchman. This was Jack’s way of sparing Will.

also...

At the end of the movie, Barbossa offers to show the crew the secret map to allay their fears, which is exactly what Jack Sparrow did when he was first captain of the Black Pearl – with the result being a mutiny that lead to the opening of Pirates 1.

The synopsis for anyone who wants to read it:

Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) are allied with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) in a desperate quest to free Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from his mind-bending trap in Davy Jones' locker, while the terrifying ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman and Davy Jones, under the control of the East India Trading Company, wreaks havoc across the Seven Seas. Navigating through treachery, betrayal and wild waters, they must forge their way to exotic Singapore and confront the cunning Chinese Pirate Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat). Now headed beyond the very ends of the earth, each must ultimately choose a side in a final, titanic battle, as not only their lives and fortunes, but the entire future of the freedom-loving Pirate way, hangs in the balance.

I really want to see POTC:3, and as of yet haven't had the chance to do so. I already have a huge "must-see" list. I loved the first POTC, but was not so enamoured with POTC:2...I thought it rather lackluster.

I liked it. It was long, but it passed quickly to me. I wasnt sitting there wondering if it would ever end. I knew about the extra scene and stayed for it too.

I saw it, And it was good, but I thought the others were better, Parts of this one just seemed to go off track, and it started to seem like they desperate for story lines. I think it could have been better.

But I will still get the DVD
