Tokenz: 4,091 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ok so i found this and it explains better the point i was trying to make actually about what it could be considered...its all in how you view it “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.” psalms 139 Verse 7&8 So, as we make our journey in life, whether our own selfish thoughts and desires lead us or whether we allow God through His Holy Spirit to guide us, He is always present, in our midst. He doesn’t force Himself upon us, but rather, He allows us to make the choices. The downside, however, to our freedom, is that God’s Laws of Creation and Physics are always at work. His continuous presence likewise invokes these “natural” laws, with the basic one being “For every action there is a reaction”. Therefore, unwise decisions bring about unpleasant consequences, even when God is present. |

I believe that someone that is actually a Christian, or trying to be a Christian, is going to shed more light regarding faith and spirituality of the matter because it is a personal thing and their heart is in the right place on the matter. Faith is more about the heart than anything else. Knowledge is open to everyone. Spirituality isn't. Many, including myself, have come to many of these threads to share our spirituality by answering some of the questions posted. It is our spiritual truth. It is not to convert anyone. It is just discussion. If someone were to be shedding light on being a Buddhist I would not come in and insult them or be rude to them just because they do not believe the same thing I do spiritually. They are just sharing their personal truth of their faith. If you do not believe in any type of religion, faith, spirituallity or what ever you want to call it, that is your choice and that is fine. But your treatment of others is unacceptable. Why do you act so ugly?

I thought spirituality was open to anyone who wants to believe in it? Is me telling you to read a science text book considered unacceptable? I was pretty much just fooling around, I didn't know you'd take it this seriously. Other than that I don't see how I've been disrespectful to anyone. I guess people just get defensive when their beliefs are challenged? It's just this whole attitude of religious people that "We know the ultimate truth! You're the one that needs saving! Spirituality is for US!" is so insulting and just blows my mind. Trust me, I was EXTREMELY RELIGIOUS not too long ago, I know what the mindset is like. You can share your spirituality, theres nothing wrong with that, but I'm going to question it, there is also nothing wrong with that either. You MUST question what you believe in. To just follow blindly is dangerous. Last edited by All Else Failed; 05-25-2007 at 01:27 PM. | |

This was my point. I'm sorry if the way I worded it in my previous post was not clear. Quote:

It is my own walk and no one elses. You made an incorrect assumption of the meaning of a statement that I made and accused me of calling people dumb/stupid/ignorant. Then you turn around and make the following statement which cannot be misconstrued as any other way: So never question what you believe in? I call that ignorance. Part of all spiritually requires a bit of blind faith. And people that engage in blind faith are not ignorant. It takes a bit of blind faith to get up every morning. We never know for sure what the day has in store for us.
