I can remember
some ten years or so ago
someone who was here
God I loved her so
Her smiling eyes
Her gentle voice
The feeling from her
that gave me no choice
I fell and lost my heart
knowing I was being foolish
right from the start

But I was young
and so was she
I wanted her
and she wanted me
We drifted in and out
of each other's lives
for three years or so
then said our goodbyes
knowing a memory
would be all that was left

Goodbye is Forever
I believe that now
Good things in life
never last anyhow
Perhaps we'll wonder
somewhere down the road
will our paths ever cross again
Was it really such a loss...but then,
are we really still thinking of one another

When we were young
we had our hearts out on the table
but were we really able
to think so clear
to hold so dear
a love that would never last
We were trying to grow too fast
Love come and went
Our feelings were spent
and goodbye was the only thing left to say
